Trennjaeger cold saws are possibly the best known cold saw in the steel fabricating industry. The LTS Cold Saw Models 520 and 760 are designed for precision cutting of all metals, including aluminum, steel, alloys and stainless. These cold saws are ruggedly constructed to provide many years of reliable cutting. Using well respected German technology has produced high quality cold saws and other fabricating equipment for more than forty years.
The LTS-520 machines gearbox is mounted below the saw table & travels horizontally on precision ground & hardened guide ways. The Trennjaeger LTS 520 employs an all spur & helical gear train, which operates in a constant oil bath. Gear shafts are journaled in heavy-duty roller bearing, to provide the smoothest & most efficient possible method of power transmission.
Trennjaegers thick working table and powerful pneumatic clamps serve to minimize vibration while cutting. The material being cut is clamped horizontally & vertically to ensure that it is positively secured. The width of the clamping range is normally 0 to 16-3/4″, but by exchanging the pressure pieces on the horizontal clamp, the range can be increased to 20-1/2″. This auxilliary pressure piece if furnished with the machine and is also useful when acute miters are performed.
