National Shears boast cutting heads constructed from D2 steel – a high-end alloy renowned for its impressive abrasion and wear resistance. The upper and lower blades are ground on all four sides, extending their working life twice as long than typical two-sided models. In addition to this increased strength of the cutter head, National machinery packs an extra punch with welded steel plate construction instead of traditional cast iron frames found in other brands.
Get the perfect cut with an optional 57″ front squaring arm, or take your accuracy to a whole new level with two powerful back gauge upgrades! The manual ‘quick set’ model has digital readouts and 30″ of travel in just two turns. For even more precision, try our fully powered back gauge: it boasts incredibly accurate movement control down to one thousandth of an inch – all while cruising along Thomson bearings for up to thirty inches at a time.
