  • 5 HP
  • 1-1/4″ Blade
  • 9 Times Multi-Index
  • Index Floating Vise
  • Piece Counter
  • Variable Blade Speed Drive
  • Split Vise

Saw Head Frame

  • The rigid ‘C’ section frame carries the mountings for the two band wheels, heavy-duty worm drive gear reducer, the band drive motor, and saw guide arm mounting supports.

Band Wheels & Drive System

  • The band wheels are cast iron for long, productive life. The deflection free 1.38 inch (35 mm.) wheel spindles ensure the wheels run true regardless of tension stress or cutting loads. The spindle assemblies incorporate tapered roller bearings for greater rigidity and long service life. The wheel tracks the blade so that the back of the band is contacts the wheel flanges to support the band. The drive motor is coupled to the transmission through a variable speed pulley.

Drive Wheel Transmission

  • The drive wheel transmission is designed and built by Amada to provide high efficiency speed reduction, which requires no external cooling, to deliver more power to the large diameter drive shaft. This shaft ensures that this developed torque is transferred to the blade with no strobing, enabling the machine to efficiently cut high alloys as well as free machining materials.

Pressure/Flow Feed Control

  • The independent pressure and flow controls in series ensure the optimum cutting rate can be obtained regardless of section or alloy being cut. The pressure control determines the cutting force applied to the blade and the flow control sets the maximum fall rate of the head. For example for difficult to machine materials the pressure is set higher than free machining alloys and the flow is set lower, as shown on the escutcheons above the above the control knobs.

Idler Wheel Motion Detector

  • The wheel motion detector will turn off the blade drive in the case where a blade breaks or is jammed in the work piece. This feature also prevents premature wear on the drive wheel from a stalled band.

Automatic, Powered Chip Conveyor

  • The electrically powered chip conveyor auger automatically removes the saw chips from the saw while draining the cutting fluid back into the fluid reservoir. The automatic chip conveyor greatly reduces cleanup time and enables the machine to run longer without operator cleanup.

Multiple Index

  • The machine control has the capability to make up to 9 index passes giving a maximum cut length of 141.7 in. (3,600 mm.) in automatic.

Split Front Vise

  • The work holding vise is split so that it clamps the workpiece on both sides of the cutting plane. This additional support in front of the cutting plane minimizes the burr on the cut pieces.

AXCELA G SERIES Band Saw Blades

High-performance Carbide Tipped Band Saw Blades
High-quality carbide tips and the dove tail tooth shape. AXCELA makes incredible cutting speed for hard to cut material.

BCTBR Band Saw Blade

Multi Faceted Carbide Tipped Blade

Designed exclusively for heat-resistant alloys, nickel-based alloys, titanium alloys, and special cast tensile steels, all with high tensile strength of over 142,000 psi. It features ultra-hard, diamond sharp carbide tipped teeth that resist low thermal conductivity and abrasion that can quickly break down conventional bi-metal type bands.

MAGNUM HI-LO Band Saw Blade

Patented Varying Tooth Height and Set M-71 Bi-metal Blade
High-quality carbide tips and the dove tail tooth shape. AXCELA makes incredible cutting speed for hard to cut material.

Hi-Lo Band Saw Blade

Varying Tooth Height Design, M-42 Welded Edge

The Hi-Lo blade features a high and low teeth height design and a 15-degree rake angle. The blade is ideal for cutting hard steels.

CHIP BREAKER Band Saw Blade

Patented Gullet Design
Designed to reduced heat generated at increased chip load. With reduced tooth stripping and breaking this equates to the lowest possible cost per square inch of metal cutting.

SGLB Band Saw Blade

M-42 Bi-metal Blade

The SGLB was designed to cover a broad range of cutting applications and to provide maximum efficiency in sawing wear-resistant tool steels. The blade’s tough M-42 cobalt edge resists heat and abrasion, while the varied pitch tooth form expands the ranges of sizes and shapes that can be sawed successfully without changing blades.

COBALT8 Band Saw Blade

Amada Modified M42 High-Speed Steel Bi-Metal Blade
General-purpose blade ideal for cutting mild steel and structural steel. “Chip Curler” tooth shape and unique set pattern result in longer blade life.

SMARTCUT BAND Band Saw Blade

Thinner Blade of SGLB and Magnum Hi-Lo

Thinner more than 10% from regular SGLB or Magnum Hi-Lo. Specialized Blade for PCSAW330

PROTECTOR EX M42 Band Saw Blade

Exclusive use for structural steel with M-42 Edge. Which has both strength against tooth chipping and high wear resistance. PROTECTOR EX added to the back face of the tooth tip prevents excessive cutting.

PROTECTOR Band Saw Blade

Exclusive Use for Structual Steel with M-30 Matrix Bi-metal Blade

Exclusive use for structural steel. Protector provides long blade life and prevents tooth breakage, eliminating excessive tooth stripping. It can withstand the shock of interrupted cuts, allowing for heavier penetration for faster cutting rates. Protector uses a broaching style set pattern designed to eliminate pinching, which prevents the blade from binding the cut.

MGLB Band Saw Blade

General Purpose Matrix Bi-metal Blade

The MGLB is best suited for cutting structural shapes, tubing and stacks of mild steel pieces. The MGLB allows band saw machines to cut a wide range of material sizes and shapes without requiring a change of blades. Its tough high-speed steel teeth resist chipping, stripping and abrasion. It can also tolerate the occasional improper speeds and feeds that are often used by inexperienced saw operators.
